My name is Gail Schepp and I’m the owner of Thousand Words Photography, a local business that specializes in Equine Photography. I’m excited to get in touch with you to introduce myself, as well as to the products and services I offer.
Although my experience photographing horses (in all types of disciplines and venues) spans more than 15 years, Thousand Words Photography was officially formed 9 years ago.
My experience and love of horses began in early childhood, and was followed by many years of working within the industry in the Horse Capital of the World, Ocala, FL as a farm manager and owner of several horses. It is with this experience that I’ve come to understand and appreciate just how much a photo is able to convey, even more than words are capable of. I am highly creative & artistic, which shows through my work and am able to capture spectacular images for my clients. My personal photographic style is organic and relaxing, and I place emphasis on artfully creating special memories.

A photo session with me is relaxed and fun. I want you to come prepared to be yourselves, because that’s what creates great memories —whether it’s for a hardcover photo book, a beautifully framed print, or a Facebook album.
While my passion is equine photography, I also have a keen eye for pets & nature, I prefer to work mainly with natural light, and work tirelessly to create fine art for my clients that they’ll cherish for years to come. I love to photograph “on location,” using the beautiful horse farms, parks, lakes, and beaches of Wisconsin as our backdrops, or a special spot of your own choosing.
